Life at Holy Family Services:
In Their Own Words

We are proud to share these reflections from our residents, their families, and the healthcare professionals who work alongside us. These words offer a firsthand look at the dedicated care, organisation, and community spirit that define life at Holy Family Services.

Wanda spent the last few months of her life at Holy Family Services, a beautiful Polish nursing home, where she was lovingly cared for. Her room number was 11, the same number of the home she grew up in Torun 89 years ago, and she felt a comforting connection to it.

Very caring staff. Regular updates are provided. I would have no hesitation in referring Holy Family Services for the care of loved ones.

I would like to bring to your attention that your staff member Marianna always puts the smile on our mum - Wanda face. Marianna treats mum like a family member showing concern and providing individual high care by asking mum how is she and what possibly she can do to make herself feeling better. Marianna will be talking about her, life, family and all good things that she has experience in her life. Mum will smile and say - is not good. Marianna `s support means the world to mum and us. Thank you. Please continue the high quality of your service with wonderful staff that are part of the holistic experience.

Love it the best nursing home in Australia my mum loved you all.
I would like to say thank you for being here for us in the times of confusion and sorrow at the times we needed to have our mum - Wanda Jedryczka at the service. Thank you for navigating us through the aged care process and guiding us through the paper work and all the choices mum has settling and feel safe in that care environment. I would like to say one more time thank you from Wanda Jedryczka family.

I am writing to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to the way we were able to smoothly transition my mum into Brother Albert from villa 11. She was treated so kindly and respectfully at every stage. I am grateful to Izabella for her service and dedication to ensuring that it all went smoothly. Izabella was accessible whenever I needed her and to make things happen quickly. She knew we needed to get her into more secure and safe environment and as soon as a room became available she expedited it very quickly so that we didn’t lose it!

I am located in Adelaide and knowing she is in good hands makes life less stressful for me. The whole team at Brother Albert were so welcoming.

Congratulations on great staff and facilities.

To Everyone,
Here are some photos of Paul Galea taken 2 days before he passed away. As you can see, he seemed to be very happy and content, and this is due to the fact that he was taken care of so well by everyone at Holy Family.
My Mother and I will be eternally grateful for not only the way he was looked after, but by the way we were looked after.

On behalf of my brother and myself, we would like to express our gratitude and thanks for the first-class treatment that our mother, Anna Hurba, received in your care.
Mum entered Holy Family on the 3rd March 2014. Since that day, Holy Family’s high standard of care has never wavered. Her spiritual care matched the physical care she received. That was important to us as her devotion to God was paramount in her humanity. A time span of eleven years, involving changes in staff, management, personal relationships, menus and regulatory systems was challenging, especially during the Covid pandemic. Throughout, Holy Family has been steadfast in its objective of providing only the best of care. Special thanks to the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth who gave so much of themselves to ensure Anna’s peace and devotion throughout those years. Special thanks to Iwanca, who made Anna's life a joy and had such love for her. Special thanks to all the staff throughout the years. Special thanks to all the staff in her last days who let her have her dignity, humanity and a painless end.
We are forever grateful. I have a favour to ask though, more advice related to her clothing. Is there a way to remove her name from the labels of her clothes as charities will not accept name-tagged items?.

I wanted to share that the paramedics who picked up my mother, Olga, after her fall yesterday gave me a wonderful compliment about your team.

The paramedics stated to me that HFS is very organized and quick in response as compared to other nursing homes. They gave positive feedback about the staff, stating that when they come, you already have things ready for them."

The care Colin receives in Joseph Wing is outstanding. Your compassion, patience, understanding, and person centred care is truly an inspiration. May God continue to bless you all as you care for our loved ones. We were so lucky that today was one of Colin`s better days, and he was able to celebrate with us XX.

After having spent so many years living on her own, and being an independent elderly women, the move to a nursing home has been very confronting , emotional and unsettling for mum as well as her family.
We have been very fortunate to have found the Holy Family Services as the above and beyond care, empathy has made the change achievable. We as a family cannot speak highly enough of the RNs Vabesh , Ocian , Ragni and the dedicated team of nurses.

It has been noted that Wanda Komorowski who has a history of brain cancer and cranial neuropathy, was previously bedbound, has been walking with the aid of a forearm support frame under the supervision of physiotherapist and her husband.

Her husband Miroz has repeatedly given credit and compliments to our physiotherapist Austin, whom he said identified and initiated Wanders mobility and walking schedule and plan.

Both Wanda and her husband are very happy with her progress and the time they spend together.

Thank you for over 15 years of exceptional care you have given to Magdalena. You made the difference . Thank you for being so incredible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. She loved you all.

Magda, Barbara, and family.

We want to thank you for the kind care you gave our mother at Holy Family Services. All the nurses, carers, and staff were very caring and kind. Our mother liked many people there and will surely visit again. Maybe in the future, she may need to return.
Thank you very much, and best wishes.

I'm reaching out as we're currently assisting the family of Urszula Warminska . The family has said lovely things about the care your team provided, so we wanted to pass this feedback on.

It's important to us that families are well supported when navigating death, and so we wanted to share a few resources we've created to do just this. If there is anything else we can share, or if you have any questions for me and my team, please let me know.

Kris

Thank you, dear sisters, for your calm, kind, caring support for my father and throughout the years at HFS, when he passed away. It meant a lot to me and was greatly appreciated.
